My love affair with Japan started as a teenager and I have studied, researched, and lived in Japan off and on for nearly 25 years.
I hold a Ph.D. in cultural anthropology and worked as a professor of Japanese Studies for nine years.
I have traveled throughout Japan, but have particular familiarity with Kyoto, Nagano, Okinawa, and Iwate prefectures.
